Adam Sharpe Motorsport to run in the Fujitsu V8 Series

Adam Sharpe Motorsport to run in the Fujitsu V8 SeriesAdam Sharpe Motorsport (ASM) became the first UK team to run a V8 Ford Falcon Supercar with great success in the 2005 BritCar Series. This year, the team will enter two V8 Ford Falcon Supercars for the 2006 competition as well as running both in the new Dunlop V8 Supercar Challenge in the UK.

On the strength of their UK experience, ASM have now acquired their third V8 Ford Falcon Supercar (their second from the Howard Racing Team) to run Adam Sharpe as the only dual British/Australian driver in the Fujitsu Competition. They will be supported in their 2006 season by Darrell Dixon and the Howard Racing Team, along with the rest of the ASM team members both in UK and Australia. 2005’s youngest ever British Le Mans prototype podium finisher Adam Sharpe said, “ASM is strengthening by the day. We have a great group of people with a passion for winning. There is a fantastic team spirit! However, we’re also here in my Aussie V8 rookie year to learn at first hand from the pros – and I can’t wait!”

Adam and ASM have high hopes for the season ahead and are very enthusiastic about being involved in one of the world’s most exciting forms of motorsport. Soon to be racing with a full CAMS licence, Sharpe commented, “V8 Supercars is more like a religion than a sport in Australia and the high drama and excitement it brings to the spectators at every meeting explains just why that is.”
