Le Mans Test Day
The weekend started off raining and finished up raining with only a few drying spells to take advantage of. The Trading Performance Zytek stood up well to the ever changing conditions, whereas other competitors were not so fortunate. All three drivers were able to have a decent amount of time in the car to get comfortable for the 24 hour race ahead.“Somehow I seemed to pull the short straw each time when it came to the weather! It was good to be back in an LMP2 at Le Mans and even though I didn’t get to run on slicks I felt comfortable with the car,” said Sharpe.
The Trading Performance team will now stay at Le Mans to rebuild the car ready for the race week. The next date on the Le Mans calendar will be the popular scrutineering in Le Mans centre on Tuesday 10th June.
“I am looking forward to the race week – it’s a brilliant event every year. It was a shame to miss out on last year’s race and I hope to make up for it this time,” said Sharpe.
